Mindful Trader vs the Trade Desk: two swing services, side by side

Both are swing trading services, so this is a close comparison. Mindful Trader sends US stock and options swing trades that it says typically last about a week, for $47 a month. The Trade Desk publishes weekly setups across stocks, forex, gold and crypto with the stop and target, for $29 a month or $199 a year, and keeps every closed trade, losers included, on a public record graded in R.

What each one sends

Mindful Trader’s sign-up page (checked 8 Oct 2026) describes swing trades in stocks and options, posted around 6:30am Pacific, with commentary by email, and says trades "typically last about a week on average". It is priced at $47 per month, billed monthly, and says you can discontinue at any time. Its site points to a sample of live trading results and a long back test.

The Trade Desk publishes its board on Sunday: swing setups in large-cap stocks and crypto, forex and metals levels, a short squeeze screen, and mid-week Vol Entries, each with an entry, a stop and a target. Alerts fire on those levels by push and email, and the paid Substack letters explain the reasoning three times a week.

Holding period

"About a week" against the Desk's record: the median hold across 111 closed trades is 13 days, with most between six days and a month. If you want trades that resolve inside a week, that difference matters. If you want fewer decisions and room for a trade to work, a two-week median is the slower pace.

Whichever you choose, run the four checks in best swing trade alert services on a closed trade from last month. A service that shows you its losers willingly is usually the one worth paying.
