How do markets react to economic releases?

80 market and release pairs, measured on 1695 releases. Each page answers one question from the Desk's own history: how far the market has typically moved in the first 30 minutes and 4 hours after the print, how often that first move held, and what it did when the figure beat or missed the forecast. Among the currency pairs, the biggest typical first 30 minutes is USD/JPY after NFP, at 37 pips.
