A weekly forex trade idea is a pair, a direction and three prices written down before the week opens: the entry, the stop and the target. The Desk publishes its forex and metals levels every Sunday, drawn on the spot chart, and grades every closed idea in R. As of 8 Oct 2026 the forex side of the record has 53 closes, 28 of them winners, for +24.0R.
A forex pair is two currencies in one price, so the first question is not "is EUR/USD going up" but "which of these two is stronger this week". The Desk scores the eight majors against each other across 26 pairs and puts them in order. The ideas worth a closer look pair a currency near the top with one near the bottom, because then both legs push the same way. A strong currency against another strong one is a coin flip with a spread on it.

Strength picks the pair. The chart picks the prices. The trend has to agree on the daily chart (the 50 EMA on the right side of the 200), momentum has to be stretched against the trend so the entry is a pullback rather than a chase, and the stop goes beyond the structure that would prove the idea wrong. The target comes from the same structure and the pair's normal weekly range. If the reward is not worth at least the risk, the idea is dropped, however good the story behind it.
All three prices are fixed on Sunday. During the week the only job is to wait for price to reach the entry. Ideas that never trigger simply expire, and that is a normal outcome, not a failure.
The EUR/USD short opened on 4 September 2026 from 1.1636, with the stop at 1.1695 and the target at 1.1515. It moved the right way, but I closed it by hand at 1.1536 with the pair oversold, short of the target. The record books it at +1.70R, measured against the original stop, rather than the +2.05R the plan offered. Two other forex ideas from that fortnight, EUR/CAD and USD/CAD longs, both stopped out at −1R.

That shared leg is the forex trap a weekly list makes easy to fall into. Two Canadian dollar trades on the same week are one view on the Canadian dollar, so they should be sized as one position split in two, not two full positions.
As of 8 Oct 2026, 53 forex ideas have closed: 28 winners and the rest losses or scratches, +24.0R in total, or about +0.45R a trade. The win rate is close to a coin flip on purpose; the edge is that losers stop at about −1R while winners are allowed to reach +2R. Every one of them is in the track record with its levels. For the session most of these ideas fill in, see the London and New York overlap, and for the gold side of the same tab, gold swing setups.
Every Sunday before the open: analysed swing setups across stocks, forex, gold and crypto with the exact entry, stop and target, an alert when one triggers, the live dashboard and the paid Substack letters.

The majors and the main crosses, plus gold, silver and oil on the same Forex and Metals tab. A pair only makes the list when its two currencies are pulling apart and the chart offers a level with a defined stop.
Spot. The levels are drawn on the spot chart, so a broker quoting spot will match them closely; futures prices differ by the carry.
As of 8 Oct 2026, 28 of 53 closed forex ideas won, about 53%, for +24.0R in total. The record lists all 53.
